David has been in the music business his entire life. He started out singing in
Gospel Quartets at the age of 12 in North Carolina and throughout the south.  He
began performing on the Las Vegas stages at the age of 18 and during that time
was on many major TV shows, like The Merv Griffin Show and The Mike Douglas
Show.  After that he moved to Nashville, TN where he sang with JD Sumner and The
Stamps Quartet, The Downings, and many others.  In 1982 he formed a country
group with some friends called "Memphis". They had several Top 40 hits on Country
radio and 2 number 1's on Canadian Country radio in the mid-80's. Memphis
traveled as the opening act for the late Marty Robbins, Steve Wariner, and The
Charlie Daniels Band during that time.

He has produced and worked with many top Christian artists, including The Gaither
Vocal Band, Russ Taff, Mark Lowry, The Crabb Family, Ponder, Sykes & Wright,
and many others.  David also co- produced 4 albums for The Oak Ridge Boys (for
which he won a Dove award for and was a featured artist on).  David has been on
many of The Gaither Homecoming videos and traveled full-time for 2 year (2006-7)
with The Gaither Homecoming tour.  "I have done many things throughout my
career, but I am more excited about singing with my brother (Jimmy) and The
Branson Brothers than anything I've done in a long time."
